As industrial automation demands higher reliability, real-time performance, and ease of development, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software must meet rigorous quality standards. This paper evaluates the software quality of MCGS Embedded version 7.7 (a widely used configuration environment for touch-screen HMIs in China and Southeast Asia). Using the ISO/IEC 25010 quality model as a framework, we assess functional suitability, reliability, performance efficiency, usability, security, maintainability, and portability. Empirical observations from deployment in packaging, textile, and small-scale process automation are discussed.
The phrase "High Quality" in relation to MCGS Embedded V7.7 can be attributed to three specific pillars: mcgs embedded v77 mcgs hmi software high quality
. It is particularly favored for its seamless integration with Beijing Kunlun Tongtai hardware, though it supports over 800 common device drivers. Key Features and Performance Broad Compatibility use deadband zones (e.g.
Avoid setting alarms on every boolean. Use alarm groups. For analog alarms, use deadband zones (e.g., trigger alarm at 100°C, but only reset at 98°C) to prevent alarm chattering. trigger alarm at 100°C
