"A Silent Voice" tells the story of Shoya Ishida, a high school student who once bullied a deaf classmate named Shoko Nishimiya in elementary school. The bullying led to Shoko transferring to another school, and Shoya became isolated by his classmates for his cruel actions. Years later, seeking redemption, Shoya transfers to a new school, determined to make amends and become friends with Shoko.
