The internal storage of an Android device is divided into several logical sections. The system partition holds the OS files, the data partition stores user apps and information, and the recovery partition contains the emergency boot software. Manufacturers set these sizes during production. However, as Android apps grow in size and system updates require more overhead, the original partition layout can become a bottleneck.
