On the PS4, the operating system is a fortress. Sony does not allow users to alter game code. However, they do allow save data transfers. This loophole birthed the "Repack." Modders on PC extract the game’s save file, inject it with modified code (weapons with infinite ammo, items that shouldn’t exist, or broken character models), and then "repack" it into a format the PS4 recognizes.
