When you download the MiniOS 11 Pro ISO, the first thing you notice is the file size. It is incredibly small compared to mainstream distros. This makes it incredibly easy to carry on a low-capacity USB drive or even burn to a CD for legacy hardware.

Just spent the last few days testing (ISO version), and I’m impressed. For those unfamiliar, MiniOS is a modular, portable Linux distribution based on Mandriva/Mageia roots (now independent). The “Pro” edition is their full-featured variant, but still tiny compared to mainstream distros.
