The “X-Ray” texture pack for Minecraft 1.8.8 is not a standard aesthetic pack. Its sole purpose is to give players an unfair advantage by making most solid, natural blocks (stone, dirt, gravel, andesite, etc.) either fully transparent or semi-transparent. Only valuable ores (diamond, gold, iron, emerald, redstone, lapis lazuli), caves, lava, and water remain visible.
